Stones and crystals should
be cleansed and personally charged before using them.
You may use a pendulum to
test your crystals. Ask your crystals
what they need.
CLEANSING
MOONLIGHT:
The light of the full moon is a powerful cleanser, and is 100% safe for
all of your crystals. That makes it a great method for cleansing any of your
precious stones.
Quartz clusters: They are
self cleaning and charging. You can lay
other stones and crystals on top to cleanse
and charge them.
While your crystal already contains its
own unique vibrational energies, those energies can
sometimes become low or depleted. Charging crystals is a very important step to
keeping them tuned. You should charge your crystals:
-after you have cleansed them
-before using them for a specific intent
-when their vibrations feel weak
Many cleansing methods outlined above
also can be used to charge crystals, along with a few others outlined here.
SUNLIGHT: If your crystal is sunlight
safe, the sun’s energies are a powerful charging element.
MOONLIGHT: Another positive charge
option, particularly for moonstone and milky colored stones, such as milky
quartz, opal or pearl.
INCENSE: Running your crystal through
incense imbued with the same intent of the stone can help give it a tremendous
power boost. For example, an incense associated with loving energies (lavender,
rose, apple wood) makes a good charging element for a stone used to promote
loving energies (rose
quartz, emerald) Power amplifying crystals, such as malachite,
can be charged with power-lending resins, such as dragon’s blood or
frankincense. You might also want to choose your incense based on planetary or
elemental associations. For example, using incense associated with Venus for
stones associated with Venus, or incense associated with the element of earth
for crystals with the same association.
LIGHTENING: If you cleanse your crystals in lightening,
they will be powerfully charged by the time you retrieve them.
MUSIC/SOUND: Different instruments are associated with
different vibrations, as are different notes on the music scale. You may want
to do some research to find the proper associations to match your crystals, and
then play music for them (either live or recorded). You can also use a tuning
fork or “singing bowl,” which is a crystal bowl that makes a heavenly sound
when stroked properly.
YOUR OWN ENERGY: You can transfer
energy into your crystal in a number of ways to empower it. You can meditate
and hold the crystal in your projective (dominant) hand, visualizing energy
pouring into it. You can hold the crystal and charge it with your own breath.
You can also charge it in religious rites and rituals by laying it before you
or upon your altar and directing energy into it with your sacred altar tools.
If you are able to channel vibrations through your hands you can ask for the
vibrations of ultra-violet to re-charge the crystal if you don't have access to
the sun.
Ask the
earth, water, air and sun (fire) to assist the crystal clearing out all
non-resonant programming, pain and non-resonant energy from the crystals while
helping it to re-charge.
"I
bless and thank you for coming into my life. I invite your soul/s to join us,
so we can all work, grow and learn together. I send my blessing out to your
species and the entire Mineral Kingdom. I thank you."
After cleaning, hold your crystals. Center and ground yourself.
Invite your soul down into your heart. Connect your energy to the earth. Allow
loving energy to flow from your heart and hands to the crystals. Say whatever
your heart feels to your crystals. Before programming your crystal, form your
intent. What do you want the crystal to do? Help you in healing? Help you
attract love? Help you be successful in your job? Help you study?
Say it in the present tense. For example, “This crystal always attracts
the right man/woman for me!” Special requests should be included. Keep it
positive!
Once you have formed your intent:
1. Deprogram any intentions previously in the crystal.
2. Place on your third eye and focus your intent into the crystal or
hold in your hand, and direct your intent.

This page contains geological data
that cautions one when using certain types of crystals/minerals. While most in
the metaphysical/spiritual community only speak of the higher purpose
properties, common sense must be taken into consideration when using these on
a physical level. This page is a cautionary measure on stones that may be
harmful in certain situations or specific types of minerals (raw versus
tumbled, Fibrous versus crystallized or mass) , whether it be in Elixirs or
prolonged holding, bathing, touching to skin, etc. It is not meant to perpetuate fear
or anxiety, but instead to educate and share our deep respect for the crystal
and mineral kingdom. Most of these are geared toward internal use with a few
being cautionary for external use. A good rule of thumb is to make sure
you wash your hands after using any crystal/mineral. It keeps our mineral
friends clean and is a great way to show respect to ourselves and our
crystal/mineral family. Most of this information is really
geared toward raw specimens. I do not think tumbled, for the most part, would
be harmful, with a few exceptions, such as Realgar.
NOTE: Before making any elixir or
charging any water, it is a good idea to double check for any possible
toxicity that may occur, if using several stones in combination, for
elemental reactions between the stones. In fact, it would be best if each
stone charges in its own container of water as opposed to putting four or
five stones in the same container. |
